The Milwaukee Bucks are focused on only one thing this offseason.

After losing in the first round for the third straight year, the Bucks’ offseason is set to revolve around trying to retain Giannis Antetokounmpo. While the two-time MVP appears satisfied in Milwaukee and the team isn't fielding any trade offers, that hasn’t stopped rumors from swirling.

On Monday, long-time Bucks teammate Bobby Portis addressed some of those rumors, including Toronto’s interest, on FanDuel TV’s Run It Back. While the rumors are spicy, Portis didn’t mince words on the topic.

“Obviously, as a basketball fan and if I’m playing 2k, it’s cool to move a guy around,” Portis said. “If I’m talking real life, a #34 Antetokounmpo jersey in Toronto, it just looks weird.”

Considering Antetokounmpo has spent his entire career in Milwaukee, any other uniform could look weird on him at this stage. While the rumors will continue because of Antetokounmpo’s status and the Bucks’ recent struggles, all signs point toward the superstar staying in Milwaukee for the long haul.

Interestingly enough, Portis’ comments might actually say more about his future. With Portis potentially entering free agency this offseason, he is seen as a candidate to move on from the Bucks.

However, with his strong words about Antetokounmpo and how he talked about the bond between a player and a city, Portis might have been hinting at his return to Milwaukee. Obviously, playing alongside a player like Antetokounmpo can make things simpler for any player, and with Portis being a key part of the 2021 title team, his tenure in Milwaukee will be remembered fondly regardless of what he does this offseason.
