Much of the offseason chatter has revolved around Giannis Antetokounmpo and whether the two-time MVP will leave the Milwaukee Bucks.

With rumours swirling about him requesting a trade, leaving his future in Milwaukee a hot topic.

While many are speculating about Giannis's possible departure, some close to him say that he is not planning to leave.

Bucks forward and long-time teammate Bobby Portis  defended the Greek Freak, pushing back on any trade talk.

"Yeah, I talk to Giannis all the time. That's my teammate. Giannis bleeds green. That's all I can say," Portis said via ESPN Milwaukee.

Portis also defended the team championship potential after losing significant star, notably Damian Lillard who was waived by the Bucks earlier in the offseason.

"I mean, what's wrong with our team? Why can't we do it this year? The only thing wrong with us is people being hurt," Portis said, referencing the Bucks' 2021 title team in comparison.

Portis joined the Bucks back in 2020. Since then, he has played a massive role in helping the team win a championship back in 2021. Earlier this offseason, he signed a three-year $44 million contract extension, further cementing his place as a franchise cornerstone in Milwaukee.

The Bucks have had a relatively significant offseason, re-signing several pivotal role players, including Portis, and adding former Pacers center Myles Turner to the roster, in hopes of maintaining their championship hopes.

With Giannis Antetokounmpo on the roster, it would be hard to count them out in the Eastern Conference, especially if he remains committed to the team.,

For now, Antetokounmpo is firmly committed to staying in Milwaukee.
