It's fair to suggest that the Golden State Warriors were eliminated in the 2025 NBA playoffs because of Stephen Curry going down with an injury against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Curry is still arguably one of the top five to 10 players in this league, and has the opportunity to take over a series at any moment.
Unfortunately, when he went down, the Warriors couldn't figure anything out offensively.
But there were other issues for Golden State throughout the playoffs, notably against the Houston Rockets, when Steven Adams dominated them inside. Whether it was offensive rebounds or putting the Warriors' defense in a bad position, Adams was excellent, and it showed Golden State's biggest flaw.
In a proposed trade from Clutch Points, the Warriors would land a center in the form of Jarrett Allen of the Cleveland Cavaliers to improve their frontcourt. The deal would move Moses Moody, Gui Santos, Trayce Jackson-Davis, and two protected first-round picks.
“For years, Warriors fans have been calling for the team to trade for a big man after years of being exposed on the glass and on the interior. Now, in today's NBA, mere size isn't enough. Aspiring championship contenders must have big men who can defend in space and are agile enough to guard quicker players...
“But Allen is a 27-year-old double-double machine who will make life easier for the Warriors in the regular season. There will be no need for Draymond Green to be overtaxed in the regular season. Matchups against behemoths will require the team to cover less ground defensively since they won't have to send aggressive double-teams with Allen around,” Jedd Pagaduan wrote.

While Allen has had his share of postseason struggles at times, he remains a very good player, and his defensive presence alongside Draymond Green and others on the Warriors would be a significant asset.
He's an elite shot blocker and was a primary reason for the Cavaliers' defense being as elite as it was a season ago.
