As Dallas celebrates the arrival of the NBA’s top draft pick, Cooper Flagg, a North Texas restaurant serves a unique tribute: a pizza inspired by the young star’s favorite meal.
Motor City Pizza, located off I-35E and Justin Road in Lewisville, has introduced “The Cooper Flagg Pizza” just in time for the draft excitement. After learning Flagg's go-to comfort food, the Detroit-style pizzeria crafted the specialty pie, a chicken bacon ranch steak melt sandwich.
The result? A thick, square pizza layered with ranch dressing, red bell peppers, bacon, and chicken, finished with a topping of mixed greens. The restaurant’s owner said the pie was designed to capture the flavors that fuel the Mavericks’ newest sensation, offering fans a chance to celebrate the team’s new era with a slice of Flagg’s favorites. The Cooper Flagg Pizza starts at $16.95.

To complete the meal, Bedford’s Turning Point Brewery crafted a special beer inspired by Flagg’s preferred drink—blue Gatorade—though at 18, Flagg himself will have to wait to try it.
“It is such a monumental moment for the Mavs,” said the Motor City Pizza owner, noting that the pie was created to welcome Flagg and give fans a flavorful way to join in the excitement.
Flagg, a 6-foot-8 forward from Duke, was selected first overall by the Dallas Mavericks, ushering in what many hope will be a new era for the franchise. As fans flock to Motor City Pizza to sample the new creation, the restaurant has not yet announced how long the Cooper Flagg Pizza will remain on the menu.
For now, Mavericks fans can savor both the anticipation of a promising season and a pizza that’s truly fit for a No. 1 pick.
