The Texas Rangers had such a good day Thursday in Minnesota that they could let a position player pitch in a win.
Even better, he held the Twins scoreless and hitless in his inning of work to close out a 16-3 win.
Ezequiel Duran put on quite the amusing show in the bottom of the ninth inning at Target Field.
He only needed seven pitches to retire all three Twins he faced.
Maybe the best part of Duran's outing had to be his 45 mile per hour pitch, for a strike.
Here's his entire seven pitches:

It's certainly a change of pace for the opposing team, that's for sure.
Duran hadn't pitched yet this season, so if you set a minimum of one inning, he's got the best ERA and WHIP in Major League Baseball.
That's the best part of baseball, that every day you can turn on a ballgame and have absolutely zero clue what's about to happen. Duran is just the latest example.
