Logan Webb isn't flashy.
But he now stands alone atop an impressive Giants baseball record list, reaching a height that was never reached in the yesteryear days of the New York Giants or now in this modern era of San Francisco Giants ball, either.
Webb has four starts this season of double-digit strikeouts and no walks. That broke a five-way tie and vaulted Webb alone into first place in that category of dominant starts.
The starters who had done that three times were Madison Bumgarner twice (2012, 2016), Kevin Gausman in 2021 and Carlos Rodon in 2022. MLB Network's Sarah Langs found the stat.
Webb's latest gem came Tuesday night against the Pirates. He went six innings, allowing just one run and striking out 10.

It's the fifth consecutive season that Webb has been phenomenal for San Francisco.
Back in 2021, he broke out with an 11-3 record and a 3.03 ERA. Since then, his ERAs have gone 2.90, 3.25, 3.47 and 3.24.
This season, Webb is now 10-8 with that 3.24. He has 165 strikeouts and just 34 walks in 147.1 innings pitched.
Webb is Mr. Reliable, too. He led the NL in innings in 2023 with 216. Then he threw 204.2 innings last year to lead the league in innings again.
And now this year, Webb's 147.1 innings are tops in the league so far.

He hardly ever misses a turn through the rotation, he almost always throws strikes, he usually gets groundballs or strikeouts, and he often wins.
That's an ace.
Webb might not have the most overpowering stuff in the world, but between precision and movement, he's really, really, really good.
