Any resident of or summertime visitor to Denver knows that afternoon thunderstorms — at times violent — are part of the weather pattern.

And then there was Tuesday night.

Video and images from the stadium give you the lowdown on how LoDo got hammered. Flooding on the field — and in the clubhouse. Hail shoveled and piled like snow.

It's hard to imagine that the Blue Jays-Rockies game eventually was played, albeit hours late. The Jays won, 14-9, in a game that was delayed 2 hours, 41 minutes.

Rightfully, kudos to the grounds crew.
