The New York Yankees optioned right-handed pitcher Ron Marinaccio to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, the team announced Thursday night.

The roster move comes on the heels of the Yankees' brutal 17-5 loss against the Baltimore Orioles. In Thursday night's game, Marinaccio threw 1.0 inning, allowing no hits, one run, one walk and one hit-by-pitch.

In 19.0 innings pitched this season, Marinaccio has a 2.84 ERA with 19 strikeouts and a 1.11 WHIP.
