The Boston Red Sox have selected outfielder Andrew Benintendi of the University of Arkansas with the seventh overall pick of the 2015 MLB draft.
Benintendi wasn’t drafted out of high school, which makes him the rare draft-eligible sophomore. He burst onto the scene this year, and has helped lead Arkansas past Missouri State in the Super Regionals and into the College World Series.
