The Los Angeles Dodgers suffered a significant loss during their 3-0 win over the Kansas City Royals on Sunday, as Mookie Betts took a 98 mph fastball on the hand that forced him out of the game.

After the win, it was announced that Betts suffered a fractured left hand, and while he'll avoid surgery, he'll miss significant time this season.

The 31-year-old has been great this season for Los Angeles, hitting .304 (seventh in baseball) with 10 home runs, 40 RBIs and an .892 (11th) OPS.
