The New York Mets have a great history with the No. 38 pick in the MLB Draft.
That's one of the spots they've got as the draft gets underway on Sunday, and it's worth noting for one reason.
The last time the Mets picked 38th, they chose a third baseman out of Hickory High School in Chesapeake, Virginia.
His name was David Wright.
Wright, of course, became one of the greatest players in franchise history.
If not for injuries that ended his career prematurely, Wright would likely be in the Hall of Fame. He had a case as the best player in baseball for multiple years.

The Mets would take someone half as impactful as Wright if they could get that at the No. 38 pick on Sunday.
And even if they don't, it's a good excuse to remember Wright's greatness. There have been few like him in the history of this franchise.
