Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani breaks Cody Bellinger's franchise home run record by taking Jacob Misiorowski deep image

Shohei Ohtani officially holds another Los Angeles Dodgers record.

He has hit more home runs before the All-Star break than any player in franchise history.

Cody Bellinger previously held the record, having gone deep 30 times before the break in his MVP 2019 season.

But on Tuesday night, Ohtani launched his 31st homer of the season.

He did it off Milwaukee phenom Jacob Misiorowski, crushing a hanging curveball to dead center.

Misiorowski is special and will be one of the best pitchers in the league for years to come.

Ohtani is the best player on the planet, though.

Advantage: Ohtani.

And a new franchise record in the process.
