Red Sox trade pitch moves All-Star Game MVP to Tigers as uncertainty continues image

The Detroit Tigers could look to go all out during the trade deadline. With this being one of the first times the Tigers have been in contention in a very long time, it'd be a disservice to the fan base and the rest of the roster not to go all out.

However, until the Tigers prove that they're willing to spend money, move top prospects, and make other decisions, it's tough to trust them.

The Tigers have played very well this year, but if they don't make the necessary moves at the deadline, they might not be in a position to win a World Series.

When searching for potential options around the league, SB Nation recently named Jarren Duran as an intriguing one.

It remains uncertain if the Boston Red Sox will move on from Duran, but if they do, the Tigers would have to give up a lot to land him.

“Jarren Duran (OF, BOS) is probably not being traded. If he were, though, it would be expensive. He’s a capable CF whose down year is still a .721 OPS and whose ceiling is an .830 OPS with 25-30 stolen bases. He’s arbitration eligible through 2028, so whatever it takes to get him will hurt a lot,” they wrote.

Duran is having a down year for his standards, but he's also an All-Star type of player who won the All-Star Game MVP a season ago.

There's reason to believe he could come to Detroit and figure things out, especially with the Tigers being in a better position than the Red Sox currently are.
