Ahead of the start of his junior season at Iowa City Regina, Tate Wallace picked up a premier SEC offer to play football for Tennessee. Wallace previously was offered by Miami (Ohio) but has made visits to schools such as Iowa State and Wisconsin over the past year-plus.
Last season for Regina, Wallace caught a team-high 51 passes for 752 yards and eight touchdowns. He also recorded 27.5 tackles with four for loss and a sack, and is projected as a future defensive recruit at the college level.
Wallace is viewed as a four-star recruit and ranked among the ESPN 300. According to 247sports, he is the No. 9 linebacker in the Class of 2027, standing 6-foot-2 and weighing in at 227 pounds.
Earlier this week, Wallace attended a camp in Knoxville with the Volunteers and his offer came in shortly after.

Wallace is a multi-sport standout for Iowa City Regina, as he also plays basketball and baseball while competing in track and field for the Regals.
