Tiger Woods has historically done well at the PGA Championship, but he fell short of making the cut in 2024.
The 48-year-old won four PGA championships, one of which came on the 2024 course: Valhalla Golf Club. That said, he wasn't able to channel his past success during Round 2.
Woods had an inconsistent first round with a handful of missed birdie opportunities, but he stayed on track with just a 1-over par heading into Friday. The opening few holes in Round 2 proved challenging, however. He picked up two triple bogeys and one bogey on holes two, three and four.

That set Woods back significantly, and he couldn't dig himself out of the hole despite a solid rest of the day. He finished with three birdies and two more bogeys after this, putting his Round 2 score at 6-over and overall core at 7-over.
This performance marks the end of Woods' time at the 2024 PGA Championship since he did not make the 1-under par cut.
While he won't be golfing on Saturday and Sunday at Valhalla, fans can remember Woods' performance from the 2000 PGA Championship.

7:13 p.m.: Woods is remaining steady as he nears the end of his PGA Championship run.

6:58 p.m.: Woods just barely misses the birdie on 15, but he still picks up a par.

3:25 p.m.: An absolutely disastrous second hole for Woods, who triple bogeys 2.
Woods' driver found the thick rough off the tee, then he remained in the thick rough on his second shot. From there, he landed in a greenside bunker, then another greenside bunker, then missed a 20-foot putt before finally tapping in for a seven.

3:08 p.m.: Woods began Round 2 the same way he started Round 1 — a par on 1. His second round is underway at Valhalla.
