The PGA Championship is once again heading back to Kiawah Island Golf Resort, S.C. — the first time the event has been played there since 2012.

That should be welcome news for Rory McIlroy, the No. 7 golfer in the world and this weekend's betting favorite. He won that year's event with a score of 13-under par and an eight-stroke lead over second-place finisher David Lynn. He also won the event in 2014, but has not won another major since.

Whether McIlroy can reach that rarefied air again remains to be seen, though he has to feel confident after winning the Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow in his last start. Never mind that this week's golf course features to be the longest, yardage-wise, in major event history.
