Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks: Starting pitcher rankings, strategy for May 7 image

Our daily fantasy baseball picks continue with starting pitcher rankings and advice for Saturday's MLB slate.

There are now eight afternoon games and eight evening games Saturday with Oakland and Baltimore playing a double-header to make up for Friday's rainout. That makes for some heavy DFS split-slates, and there are some great pitching options in both slates as well. Clayton Kershaw, Johnny Cueto and David Price are afternoon aces with plenty of value options as well, while Chris Sale and Dallas Keuchel headline a slightly thinner evening slate for pitchers.

Let's take a look at today's full starting pitcher rankings and picks. As usual, we'll also have daily fantasy baseball hitter picks and the DFS Playbook from Fantasy Alarm to help you find the best values on FanDuel and DraftKings. Good luck!

Daily fantasy baseball picks

Splurge: Johnny Cueto, Giants vs. Rockies. Picking Cueto ($10,700 on FD; $9,900 on DK) will be kinda sneaky Saturday afternoon because Clayton Kershaw (day) and Chris Sale (night) will both be heavily owned, and I think people will be scared of the Rockies after they dropped 17 on S.F. on Thursday. That was against Matt Cain, though, and Cueto had been impressive up until his last start, a short outing against his former team, Cincinnati.

Sell: Nathan Eovaldi, Yankees vs. Red Sox. I'm starting to think that Eovaldi sets his own price on FanDuel. It's $8,900, by the way and there's no good reason (he's only $6,200 on DK). Might as well set it at $1 million, Nate, I'm not giving you a dime.

Save: Jon Gray, Rockies at Giants. Gray ($6,500 on FD; $7,900 on DK) has some of the most extreme home/road splits you'll see, mowing and racking up Ks away from Denver. If you're not willing to roll the dice on Cueto, think about Gray in tournament play instead, especially on FanDuel. If you're going cheap on DK, though, I'd drop down to Jeremy Hellickson ($6,700) instead.
