Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks: Starting pitcher rankings, advice for May 25

Our daily fantasy baseball picks continue with starting pitcher rankings, strategy, and advice for Wednesday's MLB slate.

Jake Arrieta is the only elite ace I'd trust implicitly today and should be the favorite cash-game pick. However, he's pitching in the early slate along with most of the other top arms and regular value picks.

That's going to make it very difficult to find security on the mound in the evening slate, so be ready to take some risks at SP and pay up for trustworthy hitters instead.

Splurge: Jake Arrieta, Cubs at Cardinals. Arrieta ($12,300 on FD; $13,100 on DK), who actually looks cheap compared to what we've been paying for Chris Sale and Clayton Kershaw this week, is a no-brainer in cash games. You can use Jose Quintana ($9,300 on FD; $10,300 on DK) if you're looking to save a little, though. 

Sell: Steven Wright, Red Sox vs. Rockies. If you're looking to pay up in the evening slate, which I don't recommend, Wright ($9,500 on FD; $8,800 on DK) is as close as you'll get to an "ace." I'll sit this one out against the Rockies, though, and try to find better values down the pitcher list.

Save: Rubby De La Rosa, D-backs at Pirates. Despite De La Rosa ($6,700 on FD; $7,600 on DK) averaging nearly 43 FanDuel points per game in his last five starts, he's still dirt cheap on both sites. Save some cash here and go get some big bats.
