Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks: Starting pitcher rankings, advice for May 13 image

Our daily fantasy baseball picks continue with starting pitcher rankings and advice for Friday's MLB slate.

There's only one true ace on the mound, so it's pretty obvious that you'll want Chris Sale in your DFS cash games tonight. But that doesn't mean he's the only one who might provide ace-level stats tonight.

Steven Wright and Rich Hill have been mowing this year and are still available at slight discounts. It gets a little dicey in the middle of the rankings, though, especially if you take out Jason Hammel and Francisco Liriano in the only afternoon game.

Let's take a look at the full starting pitcher rankings and picks. As usual, we'll also have daily fantasy baseball hitter picks and the DFS Playbook from Fantasy Alarm to help you find the best values on FanDuel and DraftKings. Good luck!

Daily fantasy baseball picks

Splurge: Chris Sale, White Sox at Yankees. Sale ($12,000 on FD; $12,300 on DK) is the only sure-thing on the slate today, even at Yankee Stadium. Just do it.

Sell: Matt Harvey, Mets at Rockies. OK, I'm finally jumping off the Harvey Train as it rolls through Denver. That said, Harvey ($8,600 on FD; $7,400 on DK) would be the ultimate high-risk, high-reward contrarian play in tournaments tonight, especially at such a steep discount on DK.

Save: Steven Wright, Red Sox vs. Astros. Next-best thing on the hill tonight after Sale, and Wright ($8,800 on FD; $9,100 on DK) is still fairly cheap if you don't have $12K+ left for a pitcher.
