Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks: Starting pitcher rankings, advice for May 10

Our daily fantasy baseball picks continue with starting pitcher rankings and advice for Tuesday's MLB slate.

Get ready for a high-scoring night in DFS. The combination of a few aces in great matchups and A LOT of terrible pitchers on the mound tonight should equal a lot of points, so let's figure out how to you can get a big slice of the pie.

Jon Lester becomes a must-have in cash games, but there are a lot of good value picks tonight too, so let's take a look at the full starting pitcher rankings and picks. As usual, we'll also have daily fantasy baseball hitter picks and the DFS Playbook from Fantasy Alarm to help you find the best values on FanDuel and DraftKings. Daily fantasy baseball picks

Splurge: Jon Lester, Cubs vs. Padres. I wanted Lester ($11,000 on FD; $12,200 on DK) yesterday, so I'm going back to him today. He's worth the premium on both sites considering his matchup, Jacob deGrom's relative inconsistency so far, and the fact that the other top-tier starters have tougher AL matchups. 

Sell: J.A. Happ, Blue Jays at Giants. Happ ($8,300 on FD; $7,200 on DK) has been solid to start he season, but I'm not trusting him tonight. The Giants have the fifth-highest OPS against lefthanders, and there are better value options tonight. That said, he's going to get plenty of run support with Matt Cain on the hill for S.F.

Save: Juan Nicasio, Pirates at Reds. This all depends on how much you want to save and what site you're playing, of course.  Nicasio ($7,900 on FD; $6,300 on DK) looks good on both, but I also like Kevin Gausman at $7,700 on FanDuel ($8,200 on DK). If you really want to save on FD, Matt Wisler is intriguing at just $6,000 against the Phillies. On DK, don't overlook Adam Conley ($7,500 vs. MIL) and Hector Santiago ($7,100 vs. STL). Jose Berrios ($6,500 on FD; $7,000 on DK) is a GPP flier with high upside if you're fading Gausman.
