Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks: Starting pitcher rankings, advice for June 7 image

Our daily fantasy baseball picks continue with starting pitcher rankings, strategy, and advice for Tuesday's MLB slate.

Sixteen games today with 30 pitchers taking the mound tonight, so it's going to be a busy slate for daily fantasy players. You can ignore either Game 1 or 2 of the Mets-Pirates doubleheader for DFS purposes, which means two of Steven Matz, Jacob deGrom, Jon Niese  and Juan Nicasio won't be in play after last night's rain out.

While I do think there's a clear No. 1 with Zack Greinke hosting the Rays, I also think that tonight is the perfect opportunity to fade him in tournaments. There are plenty of great value plays to go with instead, and it's easier to fade just one ace and be right than betting against multiple aces. That said, Greinke is the smart cash-game pick tonight.

Let's take a look at today's full starting pitcher rankings and picks. As usual, we'll also have the best hitter picks and the DFS Playbook from Fantasy Alarm to help you find the best values on FanDuel and DraftKings. Good luck!

Daily fantasy baseball picks

Splurge: Zack Greinke, D-backs vs. Rays. Again, Greinke ($10,300 on FD; $11,900 on DK) is the best pitcher on the board, but if you're fading him to be different but still want a top-notch SP, I'd suggest going with Jacob deGrom ($9,800) on FanDuel and Kyle Hendricks ($8,500 on FD; $10,800 on DK) on either site, though he's a much better value on FD. I also like Rick Porcello ($8,200 on FD; $8,000 on DK) on both sites.

Save: Mike Leake, Cardinals at Reds. Leake ($7,000 on FD & DK) gets a nice matchup against his former team and is super-cheap on FD. He's posted 30-plus points in five straight starts, winning four of those. There are quite a few other under-priced SPs on DK, so you shouldn't have trouble fitting in two good pitchers there tonight.

Sell: Cole Hamels, Rangers vs. Astros. I'm not paying up for Hamels ($10,000 on FD; $10,300 on DK) against the Astros, who can crush lefties and are heating up. In fact, the Rangers also pop lefties a bit, so this could be a high-scoring affair between Hamels and the struggling Dallas Keuchel.
