Hungary plays host to Formula 1's final showdown before the sport hits the brakes for its summer siesta.

Oscar Piastri snagged his maiden grand prix win in Budapest, but the celebrations came with a bit of team-managed choreography. The Aussie jumped ahead of pole-sitter Lando Norris off the line, yet it was the second round of pit stops that stirred the pot.

Norris rejoined ahead but soon received marching orders to hand the position back, paving the way for Piastri to grab the spotlight and the checkered flag.

McLaren, with 10 wins in 13 races, continue to be the gold standard this season, and the tight, technical corners of the Hungaroring only seem to tilt the odds even further in their favor.

While Piastri was the toast of last weekend, eyes now turn to Norris to close the gap between McLaren’s title-chasing duo before the championship takes its August breather.

The 2025 Hungarian Grand Prix race is finally here and for all your time, TV and streaming details, look no further than The Sporting News for a full guide.
