Saves Sleepers

Glen Perkins will remain in Minnesota when the Twins embark on their upcoming nine-game road trip. Perkins reportedly could barely walk because of a balky back that has been giving him problems for the last week or so. It's unclear if Perkins will join the team at some point on their road swing, but for now, Kevin Jepsen will handle save opportunities.

Weather Watch

There could be some rain around the league today, although there are no significant threats. There's a 20-35 percent chance of rain for the following games: Braves-Nationals in D.C.; Indians-Tigers in Detroit; D-backs-Cubs in Chicago; and Giants-Rockies at Coors Field.
