Week 2 Fantasy Rankings: Kickers

Week 2 Fantasy Rankings: Kickers image

Kicker is often the most frustrating position in fantasy football. It's virtually impossible to predict how one will perform each week. Some combination of a team's offensive performance, coaching strategy, and worst of all, the weather can alter things in a hurry. But that didn't stop us from putting together our Week 2 fantasy kicker rankings in a futile attempt to predict the future.

In most cases, the kickers near the top of the rankings are going to be on good offenses and have really good leg strength. Matchups don't tend to matter as much as other positions, but if they're going against a weaker defense that allows teams to move the ball more easily, it certainly doesn't hurt. Still, coach's decisions regarding fourth-down situations and long field goals aren't always consistent, so even if you think you really know how a kicker will do, it can be hard to figure out.

We have out best guesses at the position, but don't be afraid to go with a guy you believe in. They're all very risky plays, but just one boom week from a kicker can do a lot to lift your fantasy team to victory.

Week 2 Rankings:
Quarterback | Running Back | Wide Receiver | Tight End | D/ST

Note: We'll be updating our rankings throughout the week if weather or injuries look like they will be major factors. And if you're looking for more analysis, find out how you'll lose in Week 2 or listen to our Week 2 preview podcast.
