Week 6 Fantasy PPR Rankings: TE

Week 6 Fantasy PPR Rankings: TE image

For Week 6, our PPR rankings for TEs are looking slightly better than they did a week ago. The Lions and the Saints are on bye, and since neither really uses their tight end much, that will knock out only a couple of lower-tier guys from the slate. And with Trey Burton returning from bye, we get a potential top-five guy back who will jockey for position with the other second-tier guys like Eric Ebron, George Kittle, and Jared Cook to create what appears to be at least a solid top 10. Greg Olsen is also expected back, and Evan Engram could return, as well. Fantasy football owners will have more opportunities to find a quality producer at the position, but some may still need to scour the waiver wire to find a solid starter.

This week's best streaming options come from a game that features a couple of NFC South teams. The Bucs and the Falcons both have bad defenses that have been easy to beat in coverage. That will give Austin Hooper (Falcons) and Cameron Brate (Bucs) a chance to get open frequently and potentially function as red-zone threats. They also have high enough ceilings in the PPR format and can be trusted as low-end TE1s. Ryan Griffin and Niles Paul are also coming off high-target games, and Griffin has a particularly good matchup, so consider both sneaky sleepers.

Week 6 Standard Rankings:
Quarterback | Running Back | Wide Receiver | Tight End | D/ST | Kicker

It's also notable that some of the top guys, including Travis Kelce and Rob Gronkowski, have easier matchups this week, so the position has a higher ceiling overall. And that bodes well for fantasy owners everywhere -- unless you're playing Kelce or Gronk.
