New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye just made the most unforgettable donation to charity after his wedding.

After marrying his middle school sweetheart, Ann Michael Hudson, in a picturesque ceremony in his home state of North Carolina on Saturday, June 21, the NFL quarterback and his new bride quietly donated all of their wedding gifts to homeless and help centers, fulfilling a promise Maye made years ago.

During 98.5's The Sports Hub's Scott Zolak on Tuesday, July 8, Zolak - a former Patriots' quarterback himself - revealed Maye's sweet gesture.

"They did a lot of donating with the local kids' shelters and stuff for the area he grew up, and some kids didn't have [the right] size shoes, didn't have some Christmas stuff," said Zolak.

"They didn't tell anybody, but they took their wedding gifts and sent them to the homeless and help centers down there. Everything that they got, they forwarded it," he added.

Zolak says Maye told his wife some time ago that he wanted to give back if he ever made it big and followed through with his promise.

The University of North Carolina standout and his wife, Anne, have been dating since 2015.

They were engaged earlier this year on a beach in Mexico.

Hudson shared several photos from the memorable moment on Instagram on January 15, writing, "Love doing life with you. Can't wait to marry you!"

Shortly after the NFL player's wedding, the couple jetted off to St. Lucia on a honeymoon.

"Spent the week in St Lucia with my husband😆💛🍯🌙," Hudson told her Instagram followers on June 30.
