Dick's Sporting Goods

DICK’S Sporting Goods has a new venture up its sleeve that might serve as a surprise to many—a brand-new in-house production studio.

Dubbed Cookie Jar & A Dream Studios, the company was founded on the belief that sports have the power to change lives and build community, and will aim to deliver transformative storytelling that positions sports at the heart of culture. The studio’s work will spotlight the grit, triumphs and heartbreak behind every athlete’s journey, with a mission to create emotionally resonant content that inspires long after the final whistle blows.

At its core, the studio believes sports are more than just competition; they are universal stories of hope, resilience and connection. Cookie Jar & A Dream Studios is making its official debut with the premiere of "Big Dreams: The Little League World Series 2024", a new 51-minute documentary celebrating what makes the Little League World Series so magical.

Produced by Cookie Jar & A Dream Studios and Imagine Documentaries in association with MLB Studios, the film premieres August 12 at 9:30 pm ET on ESPN.

While Cookie Jar & A Dream Studios was just established, DICK’S began shaping its legacy in sports storytelling over a decade ago, with the creation of 5 feature-length films and 10 shortform and episodic documentaries - including its 2014 documentary "We Could Be King," which made DICK’S one of the first consumer brands to win an Emmy for Outstanding Sports Documentary and the Emmy-winning documentary "The Turnaround" on Netflix.
