Kobe Bryant's new Nike Zoom Kobe 6 Protro is a tribute to the WNBA, and it's just in time for the upcoming WNBA All-Star Weekend.

Decked out in a tonal orange color, the Nike Zoom Kobe 6 Protro features a micromesh upper in a fiery orange color pattern with matching orange laces to boot. Covered in a unique snakeskin texture that, per the brand, is composed of raised polyurethane 'islands,' the silhouette also features a monochrome design that itself is contrasted by a metallic silver Nike Swoosh. Kobe Bryant's legendary shield logo can be found on the tongue, alongside his signature, which is inscribed on the molded heel counter. Performance benefits include a full-length Cushlon midsole with a Zoom Turbo unit in the forefoot.

Aside from its performance-enhancing features, improved energy and lightweight support, the "WNBA" also includes a translucent rubber outsole, which provides a strong amount of grip and traction for players on the court (or even if you're just simply walking on a wet surface). The shoe was first previewed in March and draws inspiration from the orange WNBA hoodie Bryant was spotted wearing shortly before his untimely passing, making it the ultimate tribute to the sports legend and his daughter Gianna, who was a rising basketball star in her own right.
