Curry Brand has added a new signee to their growing roster.

Announced earlier this week, the company has inked an NIL partnership with rising Chinese basketball star Jacob Zhu, also known as Zhu Zheng in China. This signing makes Zheng the first athlete from China to sign with the brand and its second international athlete. Zheng is a dynamic point guard who is rapidly emerging as one of the most intriguing basketball prospects in the Class of 2026.  His well-rounded scoring ability, excellent court vision, and deft ball-handling skills have drawn widespread attention.

"I’m beyond excited to officially join Curry Brand and learn from the greatest point guard of all time—my favorite player growing up. Steph’s journey inspired me to believe that being “undersized” doesn’t mean being overlooked," said Zheng in a statement. He continued: "To be the first Chinese player signed to Curry Brand is an honor I don’t take lightly. I want to open doors, represent with pride, and show young hoopers around the world—especially in China, that anything is possible with work, faith, and love for the game. I'm obsessed with the craft. Fueled by doubt. Focused on forever. This is bigger than basketball. This is legacy. Let’s get to it."

As a Curry Brand athlete, Zhu will wear Curry Brand footwear in on-court competition and activate with the brand off the court, especially in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. With a growing social media following and fan base across the U.S. and China, Zhu will help Curry Brand continue to deepen its footprint globally, changing the game for good by inspiring future hoopers with similar backgrounds to pursue their dreams.

"We are thrilled to welcome Jacob (Zhu Zheng) to the brand," added Simon Petridge, Under Armour’s VP of Marketing (APAC) and China GM. "He is a unique young talent with a bright future, and his international appeal will help us continue to grow the brand around the world. He embodies many of the qualities we look for in a Curry Brand athlete with his style of play, his work ethic and his commitment to bringing people together through sport. We are thrilled to partner with him as he embarks on the next phase of his basketball career."

Zhu joins a talented roster of Curry Brand athletes, which in addition to Curry himself includes De’Aaron Fox, MiLaysia Fulwiley, Davion Mitchell, Quincy Olivari, and, of course, Japanese sharpshooter Keisei Tominaga.
