Long before Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift were dubbed “Trav and Tay,” or earned the ship name “Tayvis,” there was another woman in Kelce’s life — and she hasn’t shied away from reflecting on their previous relationship.

Kayla Nicole, a sports journalist, business owner and media personality, dated Kelce on and off for about five years before they called it quits in 2022, just ahead of Kelce’s headline-making romance with Swift.

Last month, Nicole launched her new podcast, “The Pre-Game with Kayla Nicole,” and during Saturday’s episode, she didn’t hold back when it came to sharing a pointed remark about her famous ex.

While chatting with guest Nazanin Mandi about the often-overlooked issue of pet custody after a breakup, Nicole opened up about her own experience — revealing that she’s been left solely responsible for the two dogs, Chauncey and Rambo, she once shared with Kelce.

And apparently that includes footing the bill for their vet care.

“I have dogs with the previous partner, and I got both the dog’s responsibility on me,” Nicole said. “I had a dog bill the other day; it was $2,000.”

It’s not a new complaint.

In a 2023 appearance on The Pivot Podcast, host Channing Crowder brought up Kelce’s ex-girlfriend and the circulating story that he was “too d*** cheap” when it came to contributing financially for their dogs care.

“How crazy is that?” Kelce responded. "Don’t buy into that s***.”

Kelce went on to explain that while he never supported his ex, because she had a “very financially stable life” and career — he insisted that he did help care for their dogs.

“You got to be crazy, if you think I've never helped or gave her a couple dollars to grab some food,” Kelce explained. “I mean, we were in a relationship for five years … $100 here and $100 there, wasn't even thought about.”
