Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue icon Paulina Porizkova celebrated her 60th birthday with a mic drop social media share.
The two-image Instagram post featured a stunning golden hour vacation shot of the famed swimsuit model wearing a string bikini in a VIP cabana — and an underwear selfie, bathroom lighting and all.
“This is me,” she captioned the Monday, July 28 share. “Vacation, pretty light, posing for a shot. This is also me. Home, not great light, not posing.”
She then toasted her milestone birthday: “This is 60. This is 60 years of sometimes healthy eating, sometimes not. 60 years of sometimes working out, sometimes not. 60 years of doing the right things followed by doing the wrong things and over again and again. It’s 60 years of learning of what works and what doesn’t. And just as I think I’ve figured it out, everything changes and I have to start again.”
Porizkova first posed for the iconic Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue in 1983 and made the cover just one year later, according to a 2024 article in the iconic magazine. Including a second consecutive cover in 1985, the fashion legend graced 11 issues over 41 years, including in 2019 when she was 54.
The model's unfiltered birthday Instagram post garnered an almost unheard-of 5900 comments — and counting.
“Thank you for sharing and being real,” wrote Jane McCann, The Middleaged Goddess. “I often see images of women on here going ‘this is’ and then whatever age they are but it’s ALWAYS a super-flattering photo, not ever the realness of our aging bodies. How are we ever going to accept ourselves if we’re not seeing ourselves.”
