Sha'Carri Richardson carried *this* $3,500 bag ahead of the Met Gala image

Sha'Carri Richardson showcased a glam look at this year's Met Gala, wearing a $3,500 bag that we can't take our eyes off of.

The bag in question? None other than the Valentino Garavani Nellcote bag by Alessandro Michele, which the athlete carried in a brown shade. Per the brand, the it's made with suede material, and decorated with ball studs and rivets to give it an extra razzle dazzle. There's also a small metallic detail with the brand's VLogo signature, and a removable interior that gives you a little extra storage space to work with. Primed with a comfortable top handle, it can be worn comfortably worn on the shoulder or by hand.

As for the rest of her pre-Met outfit, she wore a black velvet blazer dress, which she paired with black heeled sandals from Ferragamo made with nappa leather material, and a satin ribbon that wraps around the calf. There's also an ankle strap with a Gancio buckle ensures a secure fit.

The 2025 Met Gala took place at its usual location, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, the 2025 theme is "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style," with an accompanying dress code of "Tailored for You," which honored and explored the history of Black dandism. The event was Richardson's first time serving as a Host Committee member, which she spoke with WWD exclusively about.

"I want to represent the feminine power of Black women, and show that there is not just one particular way to be powerful and feminine at the same time," she told the publication, adding, "Working with Alessandro just felt like a team coming together; he understood that I am a powerful Black woman and that I want to push norms, and he definitely wanted to do the same thing."

Richardson notched two Olympic medals last summer at the 2024 Paris Olympics, including a gold medal for the women’s 4 x 100 meter relay.
