It was a wedding for the history books — especially for guests who were also football fans.

When star Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Marissa Phillips got married in a dream Italian wedding, she and her closest friends broke out into a flawless rendition of the squad’s signature “Thunderstruck” routine.

And she nailed it — despite wearing a risky (for dancing) strapless dress with a trendy bubble skirt.

“Bringing the ⚡️THUNDER⚡️ from across the globe!!” Phillips captioned her Tuesday, June 17 Instagram video.

“Who’s ready for Season 2 of America’s Sweethearts?!! ⭐️,” she added, since it was also the eve of the squad’s much-anticipated return to Netlflix, in Season 2 of 2024’s mega-hit docuseries America’s Sweethearts.

Over the share Phillips wrote, “Performing the first Italian Thunderstruck.”

The fans went wild in the comments.

“Thunderstruck in every country ever plz 😍,” wrote one.

“I was low key marking it on the side,” added a wedding guest, who seemingly knew the moves.

“Gorgeous girls, gorgeous dance! 💙” agreed a third.

Closer to home, the bride’s squadmate Tori Skillings got married in Texas last month — and pulled in 29 of her cheerleading friends to bring the house down with the same famous dance number. A June 7 video posted by wedding content creator Jordyn Carson showed off the iconic moment.

The new season of America’s Sweethearts’ seven episodes dropped Wednesday, June 18.

“Season 2 picks up ahead of the final round of auditions for the 2024–2025 squad,” according to that day’s article in Tudum, the companion blog to Netflix, “then follows those who get selected through training camp, heartbreaking cuts, the official team announcement, and into the NFL season.”

Almost 500 dancers vied for a coveted spot on the team, run by coach Kelli Finglass and head choreographer Judy Trammell.
