Who is Dylan Harper’s mom? Maria steals spotlight at NBA Draft after Spurs pick her son image

Dylan Harper's mom stole the show after her son was picked second by the San Antonio Spurs during the NBA Draft on Wednesday night.

Moments after it was announced that Rutgers Scarlet Knights star would be joining Victor Wembanyama in Texas, his mother, Maria Pizarro, spoke to ESPN about how her 19-year-old son made it into the league.

"His flat out love for the game, his determination, hard work, and humility day in and day out," Maria responded, after being asked what led her son to the NBA.

The newly drafted NBA player's mom turned heads in a sleek black leather dress.

Her long brunette hair was styled down in large loose waves, perfectly complementing her striking look.

The elegant Filipino mom's brief appearance on national television quickly sparked a social media frenzy, with fans raving about her look.

"Respectfully Dylan Harper's mom is an absolute smoke show," one person commented on X

"Man that momma smoking MAN," another person wrote

"Dylan Harper mom about to gain a million new followers on Instagram," someone else wrote

Dylan Harper comes from a family of athletes

Dylan comes from a long line of successful athletes.

The 6-foot-6 guard is the son of former LA Lakers star Ron Harper, a five-time NBA champion who spent 15 years in the league. His brother, Ron Harper Jr. plays for the Detroit Pistons, and his mother, Maria, played college ball at the University of New Orleans. She also coached high school basketball for years.

The newly minted Spurs rookie's youngest sibling, Mia Harper, 13, has also shown talent on the court and could arguably be one of the best athletes in the family.

However, as of now, Mia has opted to focus on competitive dance instead of basketball, unlike the rest of her family.
