Cam Newton’s family is growing once again. The former NFL quarterback is expecting his ninth child, according to his girlfriend, comedian and actress Jasmin Brown.
The couple already share one child together, a daughter born in March 2024.
On Sunday, May 11, Brown appeared to announce that baby number two is on the way in a sweet Mother’s Day Instagram post.
In the polaroid photo, Brown posed in a white open robe while holding her baby bump. “Feeling ALL the love, kicks, and elbows,” she wrote in the caption, adding, “Cheers to our growing tribe.”
Fans were surprised by the announcement, flooding Brown’s post with both congratulatory messages and shocked reactions.
While this will be Newton and Brown’s second child together, the former Carolina Panthers star is already a father of seven.
He shares four children with his ex-girlfriend Kia Proctor — Chosen Sebastian, Camidas Swain, Cashmere Saint and Sovereign-Dior Cambella. Newton has also helped raise Proctor’s eldest daughter, Shakira.
Additionally, he shares a son, Caesar, with model and photographer LaReina Shaw, and also plays an active role in raising Shaw’s older son, Jaden.
News of their expanding family comes just a few months after Newton opened up about fatherhood in a February 2025 interview with People.
When asked if he planned to stop having children, he responded candidly, “I don’t know, wherever much that God gives me. But jokingly, and not jokingly, [my kids] really give me my purpose. They’re my refuge. They’re my peace. They’re my encouragement.”
