England's premier cricket tournament, The Hundred, returns for its fifth edition, starting from August 5.

Since its inception in 2021, the 100-ball exhilarating tournament has gained popularity across the world, featuring some great international stars and iconic rivalries in the tournament.

With the men's and women's tournaments running side-by-side, fans can expect another promising and thrilling summer of cricket. The tournament will last for four weeks, with the finals scheduled on August 31.

The eight city-based teams will battle it out for the prestigious title in the tournament. The tournament will feature both men's and women's matches, and a total of 64 matches (32 men and 32 women) will be played.

All the men's and women's team matches will be played on the same day and on the same ground. Each team will play four home and four away matches in the tournament, one match against each other side and then a bonus match featuring their nearest local rivals.

Reigning champs Oval Invincibles men won their second title after winning the final match against Southern Brave in last year's title clash. The inaugural season, meanwhile, saw Brave lift the trophy.

Meanwhile, the London Spirit women won their first-ever title after beating the Welsh Fire women by 4 wickets in the final match.

This season, the league is promising young and popular cricketing names, including Steve Smith, James Vince, Will Jacks, and Jordan Cox. Adding to the list, Mitchell Santner, David Miller, George Linde, and Joe Root will add the last touch in the fifth season.
