South Carolina will begin its season on the road against Charleston. The Gamecocks lost to Texas in the 2024 SEC championship and lost in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Cougars didn't reach that level of success, nor were they ranked like the Gamecocks. They lost to Elon in the first round of the CAA Tournament last year.
