The Women's College World Series is nearly here, but the field must still be cut in half to determine which teams will be making the trip to Oklahoma City. 

Texas earned the No. 1 overall seed when the bracket was revealed, but Oklahoma is still the hunted. The Sooners have won three consecutive national championships and have established themselves as the dominant force of NCAA softball. 

Both Texas and Oklahoma coasted through their respective regionals. Who else is joining them in the super regionals? 

Here's who has clinched and who will be playing for a spot in the next round this upcoming weekend.

The NCAA softball super regional matchups are set. Here are the battles to expect this week: 

No. 1 Texas vs. No. 16 Texas A&M

  • What: Texas clinched its spot by shutting out Siena and routing Northwestern twice. The Aggies outlasted Penn State and defeated Texas State twice to secure their spot.
  • When: The super regionals series between No. 1 Texas and No. 16 Texas A&M will start on May 24 and last through May 26 at the latest.

No. 8 Stanford vs. No. 9 LSU

  • What: Stanford won close battles against Saint Mary's, Mississippi State and Cal State Fullerton to reach the super regionals. LSU moved past Jackson State and Southern Illinois to advance, allowing just one run over three games.
  • When: The super regionals series between No. 8 Stanford and No. 9 LSU will start on May 24 and last through May 26 at the latest.

No. 5 Oklahoma State vs. Arizona

  • What: Oklahoma State handled business against Northern Colorado and Kentucky to advance, while Arizona was one of two unseeded teams to reach the super regionals by defeating Villanova twice and upsetting Arkansas once.
  • When: The super regionals series between No. 5 Oklahoma State and Arizona will start on May 24 and last through May 26 at the latest.

No. 4 Florida vs. Baylor

  • What: Florida advanced with wins over FGCU, South Alabama and USF, allowing a combined two runs over three games. Baylor is one of two unseeded teams to reach the super regionals, knocking off No. 13 Louisiana in the regionals. 
  • When: The super regionals series between No. 4 Florida and Baylor will start on May 24 and last through May 26 at the latest.

No. 2 Oklahoma vs. No. 15 Florida State

  • What: Oklahoma shut out Cleveland State and handled business against Oregon twice to avoid a major upset and advance. The Seminoles moved on after wins over Chattanooga, UCF and Auburn.
  • When: The super regionals series between No. 2 Oklahoma and No. 15 Florida State will start on May 23 and last through May 25 at the latest.

No. 7 Missouri vs. No. 10 Duke

  • What: Missouri dropped its first regional game against Omaha but later earned two wins over Omaha to advance following victories against Indiana and Washington. Duke advanced with a win over Morgan State and two routs of South Carolina.
  • When: The super regionals series between No. 7 Missouri and No. 10 Duke will start on May 24 and last through May 26 at the latest.

No. 6 UCLA vs. No. 11 Georgia

  • What: UCLA picked up two wins over Grand Canyon and a close win over Virginia Tech to move past regionals, while Georgia suffered a loss to Liberty but later earned two wins over the Flames to survive and advance.
  • When: The super regionals series between No. 6 UCLA and No. 11 Georgia will start on May 23 and last through May 25 at the latest.

No. 3 Tennessee vs. No. 14 Alabama

  • What: Tennessee cruised to the super regionals with shutout wins over Dayton and Virginia. Alabama knocked off USC Upstate once and Southeastern Louisiana twice to advance.
  • When: The super regionals series between SEC rivals No. 3 Tennessee and No. 14 Alabama will start on May 24 and last through May 26 at the latest.
