Louisville vs. Coastal Carolina baseball final score, results: Colby Thorndyke stars as Chanticleers roll to CWS final image

It was just another day at the office on Wednesday for the winningest team in college baseball.

Colby Thorndyke drove in five runs and Riley Eikhoff threw 5.1 innings of shutout ball as Coastal Carolina rolled to an 11-3 win over Louisville in the semifinals at the 2025 College World Series.

With a loss on their tournament record, the Cardinals needed a win on Wednesday to keep their season alive. Thorndyke crushed those hopes quickly with a bases-clearing double in the bottom of the first to give the Chanticleers an early 5-0 lead. They continued to take advantage of a depleted Louisville pitching staff until the game was all but out of reach.
