Two international sensations join a stacked card highlighted by Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson on July 20. India’s Neeraj Goyat faces Whindersson Nunes on a Most Valuable Promotions-produced fight card in Texas’ AT&T Stadium.

Goyat turned pro in 2011 and has an 18-4-2 record with eight wins via knockout. The 2008 Youth National Tournament gold medalist is the first Indian to have made the WBC rankings. In 2014, he beat former WBA featherweight champion Can Xu, his biggest win so far.

Goyat had an eight-fight win streak snapped by Jose Zepeda in March 2023 but recovered last year with a TKO win over Phakorn Aiemyod. He now makes his anticipated Most Valuable Promotions and U.S. debut.

"I couldn't be more excited to make my MVP debut on what promises to be the biggest boxing event in history,” said Goyat. “With millions of fans back home in India watching my every move, I'm not just fighting for myself; I'm fighting to make history and make my country proud."

Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson boxing undercard

Neeraj Goyat vs. Whindersson Nunes joins a loaded undercard for the mega fight at AT&T Stadium. In addition to Goyat-Nunes, the Netflix fight card features:

  • Katie Taylor (c) vs. Amanda Serrano 2 for the IBF, WBA, WBC, WBO, and The Ring super lightweight titles

Taylor vs. Serrano 2 is a rematch from 2022's Fight of the Year in Madison Square Garden. It was a historic night for boxing that saw Taylor walk out the winner in a close contest. Since that fight, Serrano (46-2-1) became undisputed at featherweight, while Taylor (23-1), then the undisputed lightweight champion, moved in weight and went 1-1 against Chantelle Cameron. Taylor beat Cameron in a close contest in her last fight to become undisputed at 140.

  • Darren Till vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

Darren Till competes in his first boxing fight. "The Gorilla" has competed in MMA from 2013-2022, accumulating an 18-5-1 record. The former UFC welterweight title challenger faces former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (53-6-1).

The son of the legendary Julio Cesar Chavez is 2-3 in his last five fights and hasn't competed since 2021. It is his second time competing against an MMA fighter, as Chavez lost against MMA legend Anderson Silva, a former Paul opponent, in June 2021.

  • Ashton Sylve vs. Floyd Schofield

Two top prospects face off in Ashton Sylve vs. Floyd Schofield. Sylve (11-0) was the first fighter signed to Most Valuable Promotions in 2022. He turned pro in 2020 and has won all but two fights via knockout. “H20” faces Schofield (17-0), who has 12 wins via knockout.

Neeraj Goyat's history with Jake Paul

It was reported in December 2023 that Paul and Goyat would fight one another after the latter challenged Paul, with his callout video getting over 2.4 million likes.

"Challenging Jake Paul is more than a personal pursuit; it's a mission to showcase the strength and prowess of Indian boxers worldwide,” Goyat said via WION News. “Stepping into the ring with Jake is an opportunity to make a resounding statement for boxing enthusiasts globally.”

Paul responded by saying, “Any time, any place,” bringing up that Goyat is small, and Paul would fight him with one arm tied behind his back. He has even teased fighting Goyat in India.

Before Paul’s fight with Ryan Bourland in March, Goyat went in Puerto Rico, the fight location, and confronted Paul during training. Paul said he respected Goyat for showing up while taunting him by telling him he was afraid to fight. The video earned over 128K likes an hour after posting and has reached 1.2 million views.

Following that interaction, Goyat signed with Most Valuable Promotions.
