Through four games of the NBA Finals, we’re back to square one, and now it’s a best-of-3 between the Indiana Pacers and OKC Thunder. The scene shifts to OKC for an ultra-important Game 5, as the winner of this pivotal tilt has gone on to win 82% of the time.
We’ve scoured the books in search of the best NBA player props for Game 5. Check out the picks below and use NBA betting bonuses on bet365.
Prop #1: Siakam Over 19.5 Points (-105 at Bet365)
Currently, Pascal Siakam feels like the only consistent source of scoring for the Pacers, and he’s going to need to come through again in Game 5 for Indy to have a chance.
In Game 4, Siakam shot 6-for-15 from the field for 20 points, going back-to-back games with 20+ points in the Finals. After shooting better than 52% in each of the prior three series, he’s down to 43.6% vs OKC, and connecting on just 28.6% of his 3-point attempts.
More shots would help. Siakam has taken 15 or less field goal attempts every game of the Finals. Over the playoffs, when he takes 16 or more shots, he’s averaging 26.9 points, and the Pacers are 7-1 in those games.
Prop #2: Hartenstein Under 6.5 Points (-125 at Bet365)
If the Pacers do go on to win the title, one of the major head-scratchers will be the Thunder’s decision to start Cason Wallace over Isaiah Hartenstein.
The results have been mixed, and he did get his starter’s gig back in Game 4, but it’s clearly taken Hartenstein out of any rhythm he had built up in getting to the Finals. He finished with just two points on 1-for-3 shooting in the Game 4 win and has totaled nine points over the last three games.
Hartenstein has only attempted eight shots over Games 2 through 4, as the Thunder have gone more iso heavy up top, and almost entirely abandoned the Chet Holmgren high-low dump off to him that was such a big piece of their offense heading into the Finals.
With plenty of heavy lifting to do rebounding and defending, Hartenstein’s offense again takes a back seat Monday.
Prop #3: Haliburton Over 2.5 Turnovers (-145 at Bet365)
Tyrese Haliburton has been far from clean with the basketball in the NBA Finals. The Pacers’ star point guard is averaging 4.3 turnovers per contest.
He had five turnovers in Game 4 and has coughed it up five times in both losses. His turnover line is 2.5, and he’s gone Over that total in every game of the Finals.
OKC’s historically good defense just keeps forcing turnovers, leading the playoffs at nearly 18 per contest. No other team is even averaging 16. Take the generous line provided by the books here and get your wagers in.
