There are three rounds in the Derby. The eight players will have three minutes (or 40 pitches) in the first round. They’ll get a bonus period to get as many home runs as possible before recording three outs. A fourth out is awarded if they hit a home run of at least 425 feet.
The four players with the most home runs will advance to the second round. The format will change to a bracket (No. 1 seed vs. No. 4 seed and No. 2 seed vs. No. 3 seed).
