A second straight 1-2 MLB player props card yesterday has us staring at a 5-7 record heading into Sunday’s 15-game slate. We’ll need to run the table to avoid back-to-back losing weeks, but while the task is tall, it’s certainly not impossible.
Our first target this afternoon is Cardinals starter Miles Mikolas. The 36-year-old has struggled to generate strikeouts all season long, and his matchup against the Reds lineup is not one that has treated him well in recent memory.

MLB Player Prop Picks for June 22
Miles Mikolas Under 3.5 Strikeouts (+110 at Bet365)
Mikolas is currently +110 to record fewer than 3.5 strikeouts, a bet we’ll make 10 times out of 10. The right-hander owns a 14.6% K rate, his lowest mark since 2013, and he’s generated swings and misses on less than 7% of his pitches.
Mikolas velocity has decreased on his fastball and sinker, his two primary pitches, for the fourth straight season. He’s failed to record 4 strikeouts in three of his past four starts, and eight times overall in 2025. To make matters worse, he’s been roughed up by the current Cincy hitters in the past. The Reds lineup owns a .306/.327/.519 slash line against him over 108 at-bats, with just a 15.7% strikeout rate.
Brandon Pfaadt Under 17.5 Outs (-120 at DraftKings)
Don’t let Brandon Pfaadt’s 8-4 record fool you. The 26-year-old has been hit extremely hard since the start of May, but has been bailed out by one of the highest-scoring lineups in baseball.
Pfaadt has an ERA north of 7.00 over the last month and a half, allowing 52 hits, 35 runs, and 10 homers over his past 39 innings of work. He’s failed to exceed 17.5 outs in five straight outings, and we can’t expect him to accomplish the feat this afternoon in baseball’s most hitter-friendly park.
The righty will face the Rockies at Coors Field, where Colorado is a significantly better hitting team. They average nearly 5 runs per game at home, compared to less than 3 runs per outing as visitors. The Rockies have smacked 16 home runs in their last seven games alone, crossing the plate an average of 6 times per contest.
Cal Raleigh Over 2.5 Hits, Runs, and RBI (-145 at Bet365)
The wind is blowing out at Wrigley Field today, which is bad news for the Cubs Colin Rea. The right-hander is set to face the red-hot Mariners lineup, which has scored 25 times in the last four games.
Cal Raleigh has been leading the charge, like he has all season, smacking 3 home runs and 8 hits, to go along with 9 RBI. We’re betting Raleigh to exceed 2.5 hits, runs, and RBIs this afternoon, something he’s accomplished three times in his last four starts.
Raleigh leads MLB with 30 home runs and ranks second in RBI and OPS. He boasts significantly more power from the left side of the plate, where he’ll hit today, and Rea has struggled badly versus left-handed bats this season.
Rea has coughed up a .307/.353/.500 slash line to left-handed batters, compared to a.238/.290/.344 slash line versus righties.
