Sportsbooks now accepting bets on weather in lieu of live sports image

You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows — unless you want to bet the over on the temperature, of course.

Bovada is making that possible. The spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) has led to the postponement of the NBA, NHL, MLB and MLS seasons along with the cancellation of NCAA-sponsored sports, including the men's and women's basketball tournaments.

Now, bettors can bet on the temperature for select cities beginning on March 18. So, for those gamblers who would bet on anything, now you have 10 weather-related bets for Wednesday.

That's one version of March Madness.
