Another day… another time someone suggests that Giannis Antetokounmpo could end up with the New York Knicks. For whatever reason, the Milwaukee Bucks star just can't stay out of rumors, despite stating that he wants to play in Milwaukee.
While the idea of Antetokounmpo playing for the Knicks is certainly enticing for NBA fans and non-Bucks fans, it doesn't seem likely at the moment.
Despite that, on top of the report that the Knicks are keeping a close eye on Antetokounmpo, James L. Edwards of The Athletic has noted that the Knicks are interested in star hunting, waiting for a potential superstar to become available.

"It is my understanding that Leon Rose and company have been monitoring Giannis Antetokounmpo's situation in Milwaukee very closely, even before the offseason started," Edwards wrote.
"Many around the league believe the Knicks are interested in star hunting, and while that opportunity hasn't popped up yet, I certainly believe it's in the cards if the right situation presents itself."
At this rate, the Knicks will have to hope that someone other than Antetokounmpo becomes available.
It doesn't seem likely that he'll be the one who gets traded.
However, perhaps the Knicks could go star hunting in a different way.
It remains uncertain who could be available at the moment, but some names like Lauri Markkanen have popped up over the past few years. If the Knicks get an opportunity to trade for a player of his caliber, it’d be a huge addition.
