Knicks insider reveals how many players Mike Brown will play image

Among the many questions about the New York Knicks entering the season, there are more ways than one to look at them.

The Knicks might have an opportunity to add another player, as they still have an open roster spot, despite questions about what the organization will do in the remainder of free agency and the summer.

They also have some question marks about their existing rotation, as the Knicks could be in a strange spot with their starting five. Adding a few interesting players during the offseason, it could impact guys like Josh Hart and Mitchell Robinson.

When searching for what the Knicks' rotation might look like, The Athletics' James L. Edwards had some intriguing takes on what could unfold. He noted that the Knicks are still one player short, adding that it's possible they could run a nine-man rotation, which could turn to 10 depending on who they add with that last veteran minimum spot.

“I feel confident in saying Brown will, at the very least, use a nine-man rotation to begin the season. It’s possible he extends it to 10, and that may depend on who the Knicks sign with the veteran-minimum contract they have available to use.

“The team could still use a more traditional, veteran backup point guard. It’s also possible that Brown gives a youngster like Pacôme Dadiet some of the spot minutes like he gave to Alex Len while in Sacramento,” he wrote.

There are some intriguing players still on the market for the Knicks to pursue, while Ben Simmons has been the name that continues to pop up.

Simmons is a decent, not great player, but might be a fit for the Knicks depending on how his offensive game looks in Mike Brown's system.

Outside of that, however, unless the Knicks make a two-for-one trade, there aren't a ton of players to love.
