Rumors have indicated that Kevin Love, an excellent veteran who might be in the final stages of his career, wants to play for a big-market team. The New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers have both emerged as potential landing spots, but it appears the Lakers are the more likely destination. According to a recent report from Brett Siegel of Clutch Points, the Knicks aren't in love with the idea of adding the NBA champion.
“Word around the league surrounding Love is that he wants to end up in Los Angeles, sources said. There were some rumors that Love would want to go to New York, although there doesn’t seem to be much interest brewing from the Knicks,” Siegel wrote.
There have been moments throughout Love's career where he’s been incredible, but he's 36 years old and certainly on the downside of his career.

He's coming off a season with the Miami Heat where he played in just 23 games, averaging 5.3 points in 10.9 minutes. He shot 35.7% from 3-point range, which was the worst of his career outside of the 2012-13 season in 18 games for the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Knicks did something similar last year when they added P.J. Tucker to the roster, so it's possible they could view Love as a veteran who gives them that, but it's also fair to question whether they're looking to bring in another player in that regard.
At the end of the day, the Knicks are looking to win a championship, and if Love doesn't help them accomplish that, the front office shouldn’t consider the move.
