NBA players always love to throw jabs at each other, even if it's just for pure entertainment purposes.

Longly rumored New York Knicks trade candidate Donovan Mitchell, who the team has reportedly shown interest in plenty of times in the past, did that with a current Knicks player, Josh Hart, over the weekend.

When the New York Mets were taking on the New York Yankees during the Subway Series, a series in which the Mets took two of three against the second-place Yankees, Hart and Mitchell had some fun banter on X.

Hart tweeted that everybody should know that this is still a Yankees city, despite the Mets winning the first two games of the set. After that, Donovan Mitchell tweeted at him, saying, tweeting this down six runs is funny with a “#LGM" hashtag.

Of course, many New York Knicks fans rushed to the comment section and urged him to join the team, telling him how much they’d love for him to wear orange and blue.

However, despite how enticing that sounds, there’s little reason for either side to pursue it. Mitchell has something great going with the Cleveland Cavaliers, and Brunson is certainly the guy for the Knicks.

Hart has continued to show love to the Yankees, which is rather amusing given that some have suggested he hasn't always been a fan, as evident by pictures of him in different team gear.

However, Hart has some fair words about it being a Yankees city. Similar to how the Knicks are much bigger than the Brooklyn Nets, the Yankees are a brand and are certainly followed more in New York.
