During a game against the San Antonio Spurs a year ago, the Milwaukee Bucks and Chris Paul went at it a bit. Giannis Antetokounmpo got into an altercation with Paul and didn't have very nice things to say to him.
It remains uncertain where that relationship stands, but the Bucks have been linked to Paul multiple times over the past few weeks.
When examining the situation, the Milwaukee Journal believes that if Paul were to come to Milwaukee, it’d be almost guaranteed that he'd be a starter.
The Bucks saw last year that when they're at their best, it's when they play at a quick pace with young players. Obviously, Paul doesn't bring that anymore.
“Chris Paul is 40 years old (and would turn 41 in the playoffs) and has been linked to the Bucks. If you're signing him, it is to start at point guard. I'm not sure what he still can do defensively, but he has shot 37% from behind the 3-point line the past five seasons and has averaged 8.5 assists and 1.4 steals.
“If he were to sign, I'm sure we'd have to get some clarity on the relationship between Paul and Giannis Antetokounmpo, particularly about their heated verbal on-court altercation during and after the Bucks' loss to San Antonio on Jan. 31,” the Milwaukee Journal wrote.

While he doesn't bring youth, it's also fair to note that Paul has consistently demonstrated an ability to be the smartest player on the court throughout his career.
There have been times over the past few years when the Bucks simply look to be one of the lower IQ teams in the NBA.
At the very least, Paul would be able to help them with that.
