The Chicago Bulls have reportedly been trying to trade Nikola Vucevic for much of the past two seasons. Unfortunately, the Bulls front office doesn't do a great job when it comes to trades, and that's been evident by their moves with Alex Caruso and Lonzo Ball.
Hopefully, that’ll change if the Bulls decide to move on from the veteran big, but it isn't likely that they get anything of significance back in return for Vucevic.
In a recent trade idea from Sports Illustrated, the Bulls would be getting a better haul than one could imagine. The trade idea would move on Vucevic for a first-round pick and a few young players.
“Charlotte sends Josh Green, Grant Williams, Nick Smith Jr., and a 2027 first-round pick (via Dallas) to Chicago for Vučević.
“At first glance, that’s a hefty package for a 34-year-old center nearing the end of his career. But Vučević still has some gas left in the tank and could be a valuable mentor for Kalkbrenner and the young players developing around him...
“Essentially, they’re adding that pick to make the salary dump work financially. Charlotte will still have their own first-rounder that year, plus Miami’s, so giving up this particular pick isn’t as painful as it sounds,” they wrote.

If the Bulls could acquire three players, including a first-round pick, for Vucevic, with two of them being relatively young, it seems like a deal they'd have to take.
The first-round pick would be the most enticing out of everything, and while it's from the Dallas Mavericks and not the Hornets, a first-round pick is still ammo the Bulls could use to either make a trade or hope to find another prospect with some upside.
